HOW it Started

It all started with a phone call with an old friend, one I hadn’t spoken to in years since I moved from Latvia to Finland.

During the conversation, he mentioned the Nordic countries and asked a simple but curious question:

Do you have any houses there that have grass growing on their roofs? And how does that grass get on the roof?

That question stuck in my mind. I started to delve deeper into the subject and research how to establish grass and vegetation on slopes, roofs and large areas of land. The more I learned, the more I became fascinated by the hydroseeding method, which is effective, sustainable and perfectly suited to Nordic conditions.

That’s how FOUR Hydroseeding was born.

From one question and a pinch of curiosity, the idea of ​​bringing greener, faster and smarter grass solutions to Finland and beyond was born.
